Gift List Poem......
One of my lovely couples, Connie and Chris, who are getting married in Italy in August this year, were trying to find a gift list poem that showed appreciation of travelling abroad to their wedding and asking for their presence rather presents!
Chris (yes, the groom) wrote this himself....I was so impressed:
The date is booked, we’re off to the sun
So if you are able, we’d love you to come.
It’s a long way to go, so with this in mind
We need not a gift, but one would be kind.
Some will still give, and this makes us glad
But for those who can’t, please don’t feel bad.
Our cupboards are full, we have tables and chairs
No room on the ground floor, or even upstairs.
The honeymoon’s booked, this poem is nearing its end
But if you insist, we’d like money to spend
